Today, I invite you to join me in reminiscing about our past, celebrating our achievements, and envisioning a future of even greater impact.


The origins of our Inner Wheel Club of Santa Maria are rooted in the visionary leadership and unwavering commitment of a group of exceptional women. It was their collective desire to address pressing social issues in our community that led to the birth of our club. The dedication and foresight laid the foundation upon which our Inner Wheel Club of Santa Maria was built.


For over four decades, our club has remained steadfast in its commitment to serve our community. We have embraced the pillars of education, healthcare, and women's empowerment, recognizing their pivotal role in transforming lives. Through our collective efforts, we have made a lasting impact on the lives of countless individuals, inspiring hope, and igniting positive change.

Inner Wheel Club of Sta. Maria

Established in either May or June of 1976, the Inner Wheel Club of Santa Maria holds a significant place in the history of community service and empowerment in the region. Comprising the dedicated spouses of the Rotarians of Santa Maria, this esteemed organization has played a pivotal role in fostering social change, promoting education, and uplifting the lives of countless individuals. In this essay, we will explore the origins, pillars, and impact of the Inner Wheel Club of Santa Maria.



The Inner Wheel Club of Santa Maria was officially chartered in either May or June of 1976, marking a milestone in the Rotarian community. It was born out of the shared vision and commitment of a group of exceptional women who recognized the need for an organization that would work alongside the Rotary Club of Santa Maria to address pressing social issues. These women, namely Neneng Nicolas, Nita Dela Cruz, Lita Roxas, Isabelle Flores, Coring Porciuncula, Ofelia Dela Cruz, Leonora Pinon, Luisa Nicolas, Emilia Mendoza, Pelagia C. Gener, Connie Hermogenes, and Pacita Perez, became the founding pillars of the Inner Wheel Club.



The Inner Wheel Club of Santa Maria stands tall on the strength and dedication of its founding members. Each of these remarkable women brought with them a unique perspective, expertise, and passion for service. Together, they formed the pillars of the organization, providing the necessary guidance, leadership, and vision to carry out the club's mission. Since its inception, the Inner Wheel Club of Santa Maria has been at the forefront of numerous philanthropic endeavors, making a lasting impact on the lives of individuals and the community as a whole.
